Performers opt in to texts on the public sign-up page of a Gig (a live show such as an open mic) at runmygig.com. Every Gig's sign-up page carries the form below. It is a copy of the live form, with the same wording and the same fields. Texting is optional: a performer can sign up without ticking the box, and no texts are sent unless they do.
The sign-up page
Each Gig has one public page. Performers open it from the producer's link or QR code, read about the night, then sign up at the bottom. Below is that page as a performer sees it, with the same labels and wording as the live app (runmygig.com/m/<code>). The venue and names are examples.

Sign up- Separate from Terms and Privacy. Text-message consent is its own checkbox with its own wording; agreeing to Terms or Privacy never opts anyone in to texts.
- Unchecked by default. The text box is a real checkbox that starts empty on every page load. The performer has to tick it themselves. No other box on the sign-up form is pre-checked.
- Optional. Signing up works the same with the box left empty; no texts are sent to that number.
- Disclosures next to the box: who sends (runmygig, BTTRYZN LLC), what they get, message frequency, rates, HELP and STOP, and links to Terms and Privacy.
- After tapping Sign up: "Request sent. The producer will confirm. You'll get your slot link once you're in."

What happens after they opt in
Ticking the box does not start regular texts. runmygig first sends one confirmation text, and only a reply of YES turns on alerts for that phone number:

A YES reply gets this confirmation:
runmygig (BTTRYZN LLC): You're opted in to alerts for your Gig. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.
If there is no YES reply, no further texts are sent.

Texts relate only to Gigs the performer signed up for. Message frequency varies by show, typically a few texts per Gig. No marketing messages are sent.
HELP and STOP
Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, OPTOUT, REVOKE) at any time to stop all texts. STOP always wins, even if YES was sent earlier. Reply UNSTOP or START to opt back in. Reply HELP or INFO for help, or email info@runmygig.com.
